Nick Watt

About
I am a former division 1 track and field athlete and have spent over 20 years in the strength and conditioning space. While competing in college at West Virginia University I was blessed to intern with legendary strength and conditioning coach Mike Barwis, founder and CEO of BARWIS methods. In 2004 I became a high school teacher and coach. I quickly integrated myself into strength and conditioning, where I have coordinated programming for more than 17 teams and have been able to coach athletes at almost every age and ability level in almost every sport. I earned my master’s degree in exercise science in 2010 and since that time have earned numerous certifications in strength, speed, and nutrition including the NASM CPT, NASE, and NSCA CSCS. I have also coach interscholastic football and track and field. My own personal journey has also taught me a lot about general fitness and wellness which I have been able to successfully coach to clients much like myself who are looking to maintain their healthy lifestyle as they age. I am a married father of two amazing teenagers that are my entire world. I share custody with their mother and attend every-single-thing the kids participate in from choral concerts and softball to football, and basketball games. I also volunteer much of my time in and around the community, mostly surrounding my children’s various activities. I have a strong faith in God, and I try to live by something my strength coach in college taught me, and that is “If you can help people and you don’t. Then there is something wrong with you.” I firmly believe that we have an obligation to help each other. I’m here to not only coach, but also to teach you the fundamental principles that you will need to continue to be healthy and active for the rest of your life.
